Default i got a tailgating ticket going 100mph+ what do i do?

ok i have coming home tonight and i was in the fast lane going with the traffic in front of me (he was going 100mph for like 20mils) and i drive close to cars all the time, i was about 25-30 feet from the car and i get pulled over thinking it was going to be for speeding. the CHP says, "it looked like you were trying to race the car or run them off the road"...i was just trying to get home so make some food for my girl, thats all. i really didnt think i was doing any thing wrong (besides doing 100mph in a 75mph zone) i also didnt know that being far anuff away form the car to see the whole car and a lot of the floor was tailgating...

heres my question: what do i do? Fight it? or just pay it? or pay it and going to traffic skool?? This is my 1st ticket so i really dont know what to do and really dont have much money. i need some input

I really do not understand your writing. Try to use correct sentence structure so that I or anyone else can understand.

Maybe you'll learn not to do this anymore next time.

Best thing is show up to court and hope that the CHP won't show up.

just drive speed limit, too close is when he slams on his brake because something jumped in front of his car, and then you slam on it and hit him, think about safety when you drive, thats why only dumb drivers get tickets

I guess the proper distance would be the "3 second" rule (if that's what you want to call it).

Say the car ahead of you passes a sign. Count to 3 and then you should pass that same sign by the time you're done. If not, then supposedly you're too close.

It'll probably cost you more money to fight the ticket than just paying the fine. You live and learn. Just pay the fine and be done with it.

I typically stay at least 2-3 cars distance.

Also 80 MPH is still considered speeding. Try to stay between 65-70 MPH.

How do you even BEGIN to fight the fact you were busted red handed? Don't know how he didn't pop you for the speeding. He must not have been using radar cause those speeds were crazy criminal. Pay the ticket and be happy. And I don't know how you didn't know about the 3 second rule. Pretty common knowledge. You must have thought you had skills in case anything happened. "Do I fight it?". Funny.

The rule of thumb is 1 car length for every 10mph so at 80 that would be 8 car lengths away... That is the scientifically calculated distance that if the person in front of you completely locked up the brakes that you would have enough time to react and stop... I realize thats a bit much in actuality but if you stay somewhere near that you should be safe...

Stop driving like an idiot this is why people have such a negative opinion about people who drive Hondas... Tailgating is unsafe and its a good way to **** people off, and there is really no point, get off of people's asses and try to go around...
