Default Power and over heating issues

Hi i have a 94 lude with a h22a swap and im having a couple problems. 1st for some reason my car will seem to hesitate when I get on it. sometimes its got full power and sometimes it doesnt. i had it looked at by a shop and they said it could be the catayltic converter so i replaced that. still does it but not as much. 2nd when Im in stop a go traffic for a while my car seems to get hot. once i get moving for it will go back down but when the car is just sitting for a while it seems to get hot until the cars moving again.

If anyone has any sugestions that would be great.

thanks

For number 1, should have start with the cheap stuffs first: Spark plugs/wires/rotor/fuel filter/injectors
For number 2, check coolant level, check if the radiator fan kicking in?

my plugs where just changed as well as fuel filter. havent checked injectors

I did find out my fan isnt kicking on so I am going to wire up a toggle but I want to make sure i do it right and I have been told to hook it up threw the relay. if anyone could tell me what the relay looks like or have a pic that would be great.

The Fan not kicking in could be a couple of things: bad motor, fan relay or the fan switch. test them separately and see which one is bad.
