i have a base rsx 03. i was wondering if i can switch my headlight from a base or type s headlights from a 05-06 rsx?

 

Yes, you can convert to the 05-06 headlights but you will have to convert the whole front end along with it.

1. Right Side Headlight- 33101-S6M-A51
2. Left Side Headlight- 33151-S6M-A51
3. Right Headlight Bracket- 71140-S6M-010
4. Left Headlight Bracket- 71190-S6M-010
5. Upper Grille- 71121-S6M-J01
6. Lower Grille- 71102-S6M-000
7. Right Fog Light Cover- 71103-S6M-000
8. Left Fog Light Cover- 71108-S6M-000
9. License Plate Bracket(not required in all states)- 71145-S6M-A02

Other parts you will need:

(2) Parking/City Light Sockets- 34301-S2A-003
(3-4ft) Power wiring
(4) Male connectors
(4) Female connectors
(2) 9005 Harnesses
(2) 9005 Bulbs

Turn Signals-* 02-04 turn signal socket will not fit into 05 housing without modification.
(2) 7440 Amber Bulbs
(2) 05+ Turn Signal Sockets
OR
To save money, you can shave off one of the smaller nubs off each 02-04 Turn Signal Socket, and it will fit into the 05+ housing. It will lock-in.

just to let you know i priced this out a couple weeks ago becuase i was thinking about doing the same....its expensive! imo the front of an 02-04 rsx with the rear of 05-06 rsx looks the best!!

 

so for the rear conversion what all is needed? just tails and the rear bumper or do you need to change the hatch out too?

 

Not worth it, and the rear lights don't flow well with the different front.

ive parked my rsx for the winter and am doing the 05 06 conversion, it is a sh*t load of work and is costing well over $1000, but when its all said and done its worth the money and ill be proud to make my rsx look new again.

 

You have it *** backwards, the 05-06' rear end looks like crap compared to the 02-04, it lacks any really defined shape. I think that the 05-06' front with a rear from an 02-04 looks best. I have had both an 04' & 06' Type-s and I much rather the front on the 06' but the rear of the 04'

Best looking exterior setup would be the 05-06' type-s with a mugen lip, mugen sides, 02-04' type-s rear with a mugen rear lip (yes, the mugen rear lip from the 05-06' fits the 02-04' rear)

**** i got mine for 200 plus my stock headlights...and you can get it waayyy cheaper then that, on kamispeed.com or something like that its like 500 something.

you can get way cheaper that unless your talking about the full conversion

def looks good, and thanks didn't know the rear mugen fits the 02-04

 

im doing the full conversion,, with mugen bumper. headlghts, rear bumper, rear tail light, and the lip spoiler

 

i have a set of 05-06 tails if anyone needs them BNIB CHEAP

damn if u got the money buy me a 6 speed trans lol. imo i think it just a waste of money, well not a waste but money that could be invested somewhere else on the car like performance.

 

Look for a good condition front end from a salvage yard. Rear end col 05 RSX
