broken bolt removal on cylender head in car.
i got the CRX up and running this weekend, and the water neck on the front of the engone leaked. so i went to pull it off and put a new gasket on. the lower most bolt broke off due to me twisting too hard on it without putting penetrating oil on it. at least tats my thought. didnt seem like i put that much force to it at all. anyway, now i have to get it out.
i have a little of it sticking up aboove the surface of the head. i have tried a propane torch and vice grips, and the thing isnt budging. my next step will be to weld a nut to whats left, and hoep to turn it out that way. last resort is to drill it and use an easy out.
with welding on this car, what all do i have to remove? i know for exhaust, you just need to disconnect the battery. but welding on the motor, do i need to disconnect the computer, remove the computer and distributor, what?
and is there any easier ways than the three i listed? if so, im all ears. i want to road test this thing this week so bad i can taste it.
