Default can lsd cause clunking?

i recently bought an integra and it clunks pretty hard when turning. but it only does it for like 20 mins, after that, it goes away. the previous owner told me that the mugen lsd installed is the one causing it. is this true? if it is, can anybody tell why is it doing that? anything i can do to fix it besides buying a new tranny?

LSD's make noise. If you don't like the noise you can have the LSD replaced with a stock open diff.

Its not just a sound. It has like a hard vibration when I turn. And its not the axles either cuz it goes away after you drive it for a while

If its a Mugen LSD then it might need to be rebuilt. There shouldn't be a vibration if its working correctly.

Clutch style LSD without any "posi" additive will do as above, esp. a Kaaz LSD when cold.

no oil between the clutch plates after sitting for a few hours.

I used Pennzoil Synchromesh and 1/3 tube of "positrac" additive to quiet my Kaaz down. It lasted 50K street miles which Ray @ KaazUSA was amazed at. It had more life in it but the broke the clutch nubs due to crappy track.
