high beam issues on 91 crx
So I finally get started on my HID upgrade on my 91 CRX Si, (I am deployed) I got one side wired in, and I noticed that my high beams are not working. My wife has been driving the car and she said that they worked until today.. The Highbeam indicator on the Dashboard comes on when I use the passing lights but no high beams.. the bulbs are good cause I tested them out... can any one help me? the fuses are also good
Check the actual socket where the highbeam bulb goes in, it might be bad. Just use a multimeter to see if there is a break in the wire or if the socket is bad.
that and the light on the dash will pop on even if the fuse is blown out. but test the wire and if no power follow it back to the fire wall. Im still thinking fuse though. I had the same problem on my civic many times.
Took the fuses out and they look good, but I will replace them anyways. I don't think there is a highbeam relay unless I am mistaken.. If there is one, where is it? I know where it is on my Subaru and on my Toyota but I didn't think that old of a model had one since you don't need the key to turn them on...
no relay on the civic. Check for a open wire. Just take a DMM and see if there is power to the lights. if not then follow both wires back to see where they opened up at
