Default NEED HELP FAST OVERHEATING

let me start for the beginning i have a 98 honda civic. My car over heated due to blown raditor which in return blew my head. So I did a head swap to a z6. Once it was put all together there was a little ticking noise guy tried to adjust value but messed them all up and had me drive on it. To day I had the valves redone and there right one problem my car is now its getting way to hot hot . What could cause this. Let me add white smoke is coming out yet I replace head gasket???? Could this be due to head not being torqued right???? NOW THERE IS NO WHITE SMOKE AT ALL IT JUST BOGGING DOWN. I dont understand

Thermostat? Is the lower hose coming from the thermostat housing hot after driving? How fast does the engine overheat? The timing could be off causing it to overheat... does the fan kick on when it reaches operating temp?

I took the thermo out for now replacing because it opens to slow. the lower hose not really but the upper one is. The car is not overheating today after bleeding radiator but when you get on the motor thats when it seems to over heat.. The fan was not kicking on so i bypassed it all though i replaced it. And to top it off I see wate on the ground on driver side SOO im thinking water pump. Oh and I had the timing done when I did the head swap could that be it how does the timing effect overheating???? sorry so long

did you replace the tstat or just take it out?
the water could be coming out've your pumps wheep hole. it's very very likely that your water pump is junk, especially if you're car got so hot u blew ur head and radiator. think about it. if it was me i would replace every fragile component of the cooling system and call it a day. imagine how the plastic blades of ur pump must look if it got that hot...
