Tire Sizes
I think the standard size tire for my stock 13" steelies is 165/70/13. The last time I got tires for these wheels, the guy accidentally ordered 175/70/13 which means they're wider right? Apparently, those are fine because I have them on my steelies now. My question is, will these same tires fit on a rim that normally uses the tire size 185/70/13? I'm thinking it will, but I want to make sure.
What the numbers mean...
175 is the section width in mm, NOT the tread width. If there's a sidewall bulge, it's measured there. 70 is the height of the sidewall measured as a percentage of the section width. 13 is the rim diameter in inches.
