Default Quiet 3" Exhaust???

Yes I did a search. I was wondering what setup I could do for a 3" exhaust that would make it the quietest.... Custom mandrel bent with 2 resonators? What muffler?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm going with a full 3" exhaust with virens resonator. I have a borla 3" muffler but I'm thinking of gettting a magnaflow type
muffler (3") at the autoparts store if its too loud. I like how quiet some of the VW turbos are.

Would 2 resonators help ? I've never heard one with 2

people have been saying 2 resinators is the way to go, and pretty much any muffler, but magnaflow has been getting great reviews on here...same w/ N1

Yes, magnaflow makes several types of 3" mufflers. Check their website http://www.magnaflow.com

I believe somewhere I saw a dyno of a turbo ls w/ a 2.5 exhaust, and they dyno'd it and it made x amnt of whp, and then they dyno'd the same car w/ the same settings except they used a thermal 3" and it only yielded a mere 4 whp.

I know 3" is better for turbo apps, but is it really worth it? now, if say you get a 3" dp and also a 3" exhaust, results would surely be different. However, even though little whp is gained by the 3" exhuast, there is noticable difference in spool up time.

what do you all think?

Well me going from bone stock exhaust with 2.5 dp to a 3" exhaust from the dp back is SURE to create much quicker spool times is it not guys?
