allright. as some of you know, i used to have a decent sleeper of an eg. right now, i just thought of another great sleeper. a crvtec 4 door 88-91 civic. what you think? would i just be better doing a b16 or what? can i use the same mount kit as the 4th gen hatchie? any info on such a swap will be helpful..thanx

just throw a apr wing and some led hood squirters on it..
im saying i'll make it a sleeper if i do a b20vtec...this **** is still in the planning stages buddy. i dont know if i want a quick daily driver or a ****** street killer. dont start **** with ****** wings and stuff man. i hate that ****. and as far as classy and tasteful go, the only exterior mod would be a carbon fiber zc hood or sir hood and rota slipstreams...maybe some suspension work. not sure what i wanna do. like i said, planning stages.

Do you realize how much all that would cost? What happened to your "sleeper civic"(I use that term loosely, because 15 sec 1/4's are not sleepers) Did your mommy take it away? my friend has basically the same motor in a crx and he just ran a 13.4 untuned. i think that setup would be badass in a 4 door. i like the torque of the b20 and the high end of the vtec.
you would need to do a good amount of work to a b16 to make it a sleeper in a 4 door (assuming you keep the interior in and whatnot). i personally wouldn't go this route.
you would need to get the hasport or place racing mounts to swap a b series into a 4th gen.

breaka_1_9...thanks for all the help. thats what i was looking for in the original post, but all these people seem to want to try and be bitches. as for being original, i'm talking about where im from, not the whole usa, and not anywhere else. around here an old four door would be a sleeper, and so would a silvia conversion. i was just talking about motor swap, not the whole body ****.

anything that doesn't look fast but might be considerably faster than stock is a sleeper. a four door with anything other than a d16a6 i would consider a sleeper as long as it doesn't have a wing from a top fuel dragster on the back

speaking of originality how about a 1979 civic (thats right 79) with a D16A6 with a Z6 head in it?
well it is in my garage waiting for the mounts to be welded in...
and with the b16 in a 4th gen my dad had one 5 years ago

we just put a 2nd gen b16a (SIR-II) motor in his 88 civic 4 dr.. WOW, it pulls pretty hard in vtec!.
I wired it up for OBD 1, and put a JUN chipped p28, JDM s1 and dual pressure plate clutchmasters 6 puck, very nice and pretty fast for a 4 dr. plus it looks bones stock, talk about sleeper
If you got money to spend, do the crvtec setup and try and find a YS1 LSD tranny, your gonna f*ck some people up with that setup
