Can anybody tell me about what are the hoods at our lovely honda's - rear side of it upper than it should be? i guess it something cool but i don't know what is this?

 

Whassup Ukraine ? I was there to visit friends last season, seen some crazy Hondas. Your English is there, a little tough to understand at first glance, but understandable. What you've seen are people raising the hood attachment points so that when it's closed it appears as if the rear is propped open. This has a function, heat that builds up in the engine bay has a place to exit, helps to cool the engine bay temps a little. Is simply done by adding washers as spacers to attachment points to raise hood.

Jeez, those things are huge. IMO, it's a waste, but if you're going to do it, don't drop $35 on those things. The same can be had with $5 worth of washers from the hardware store. I mean sure, it gets heat out, but our engines are thermostatically kept at the same temp anyway once their warm. So if more air gets out, then it just might not turn the fans on quite as fast. For a street driven car, this is just a trendy thing that is not needed at all. For a track car...MAYBE, but you sure don't see a lot of pros doing it.
