i just adopted a 91 hatch for $500 with a d15z1 that i dont want anymore runs good so if anyone is interested let me know

i found a guy saleing a f23a7 he said compression is low in two cylinders is this a big problem?

will it fit on my 91 hatch? can i use my si tranny?

oh my you a long road before you.....

 

dont attempt a f series,if yu think yu can run an si tranny.its going to be a pain.
and if im not mistaken(someone correct me) yu got to convert to RWD.
and if yu didnt catch me up there,yu cant a use dseries tranny on an f series motor.

id highly suggest researching on swaps.their are loads and loads of useful sites to educate yu on all the many swaps in the honda game.

 

You don't have to convert it to rwd. I believe that is a accord engine but you would have to have a f series tranny

 

I would suggest you should research too as your WAY off

they have a H2D (f is the same) so you cna use your Si tranny. it will fit but you need swap mounts. and some other things. Look around, SOHCinWA is running a F22, (but he is banned so look on **********.com for him) lots of people have f motors.

Yes it's a problem. Someone probably allowed the timing belt to break and bent valves. You're going to have to tear it down and have machine work done.

Not worth $250 when you can buy the same engine elsewhere in perfect running condition for the same price.

With the proper mount kit, wiring harness(es), ECU, transmission, shift linkage, axles, and a bit of money and sweat - yes.

Is it worthwhile? IMO, no.

Only with a Bisimoto H2D/F2D adapter plate and flywheel, which at $650 is not cheap. Add in a Hasport mount kit and you're up to $1050.
