Default simple swap Q's

so im in need of a new swap. i own a 90 civic dx and i found a motor out of a 97 hx which is vtec-e. what is all interchangable?

can i just swap the longblock and ecu? and wire up vtec or do i need a jumper harness?

Prepare yourself for a wiring nightmare, because you are about to skip two pages... (referencing OBD0 to OBD2 is more than not worth it for what you have.)

this is probably your daily driven car and you just want a newer motor right?


this is what I would do...
swap the lower milage hx block with your dx block.
install the dx head on the hx block.
That way you don't have to mess with obd conversion, wiring, vtec wires, different o2...
