I did some searching on here and some other places but nobody seems to have the same problem as me. I have a 1990 Integra LS and my oil light started doin some weird stuff about a week or two ago..sometimes it will come on and when it does it just barely lights up..most of the time it just flickers and its pretty dim. But whats weird is it will go away after driving for awhile or sometimes if i shut my car off and let it sit for a little bit, it wont even come on once, no matter how long i drive. I check the oil everytime time before i start the car and no signs of it bein low. Just wanting to see if anyone has had this happen or knows how to fix it.

 

might be the oil pump.....or maybe the engine itself.....check oil pressure....change the oil pressure switch first would be the cheapest

 

Sometimes it doesnt even come on..and then sometimes it barely lights up...car seems to be running fine..no noises/leaks or anything

 

I'd change the oil pressure switch first...it cheap...see if that clears it up

 

I just bought a 90 Integra LS and it does the same thing. I just swapped oil out and I'll road test it later.

Ya i say change your oil look for any shavings, and change the switch it's only like 10 bucks and rite by the oil filter. Then put a MECHANICAL gauge on it and check your pressure theres no fooling a mechanical gauge. Could be signs of bearing wear.
