Default Ej1 Fuse Blowing issue

I have a 1995 coupe, with a b18a1 swap. I recently installed an amplifier and a subwoofer in my trunk. I drove the car with this set up for around two weeks, until one night my dash lights and tail lights turned off while I was driving. My headlights and cabin lights still work so I of course just blew a single fuse. I went on to change the fuse and it blew again within a day. Thus I was led to believe that the amplifier drawing the extra power from the battery was causing me to blow this specific fuse. I went in and disconnected both the power lines from my battery and the remote line off of my head-unit to see if the fuse would blow without the extra power being drawn. However, as soon as I would turn the lights on, the fuse would blow immediately even with the amplifier disconnected. My next step was to disconnect my tail lights to see if maybe I jarred a wire out of place while working in the trunk. But again I ended with the same result.

I am no expert on electrical issues and realize I probably have a short somewhere in my power system. My question for y'all is if anyone has had a similar issue and if there is a specific wire or set of wires that are prone to shorting out, or if there is an easier way to find an answer to my problem then just going through and checking every wire one by one.

Thanks in advance,
-Ian

Okay new question. What is the best way to get to the gauge cluster? I am going to try to replace the bulbs, but im unclear the best way to get the cluster out. I know there was a thread on this awhile back but i cannot seem to find it.
-Thanks

theres 3 screws, 1 behind the hazard switch, and 2 more in a very hard to describe area. sit in your car reach towards the cluster and then up theres 2 going upwards on the half round.
remove them then theres 4 more on the sides of the cluster and then pull towards you to remove the plugs.

The problem may lie in the headlamp switch itself. If it were my car, I'd try another switch. They're cheap and easy to pull at a salvage yard.
