Widest 16" tires on a 00 Civic Si?????
I just picked up a set of 16" N7's +42 offset in gunmetal and am going to put them on my 00 Civic Si. I have the Tein Flex Type Coilovers on it and would like to go as wide as possible WITHOUT rubbing on tires. I am looking at the Nitto NT NeoGen VR as well as some others. My problem is Ive never ran 16's before and dont know what wont rub. I currently have the Q8's +34 offset on my ride with Falken Azeni's 205-50-15's and I had to raise my car up because they rub mainly in tight cornering. Like I said though Im looking to go as wide as possible WITHOUT rubbing on a 16" +42 offset wheel. Heres a pic of the car the way it sits now and I dont want to have to raise it up anymore. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well I decided to go with the Nitto NT NeoGen VR 205-45-16. I have been researching them and its getting excellent reviews. The only one to get a full 5 star rating on mulitple sites from people who have purchased them. So Im gonna give them a shot. Has anyone here tried them out?
Do you have any more pics of your car with the Q8's? I'm actually very close to buying a white set for my black 99 coupe but I want to make sure they'll look good.
I honestly like the look of them but Im getting rid of them cause I dont like the offset. They're a +34mm offset so they stick out about a 1/4 inch from stock. With 205-50-15 Falken Azeni's they rubbed on the rear quarter's and the fron fenders in tight turns.

I want to see what your car looks like with the new N7 wheels on it.
Ill post some pics when the tires get put on. Im gonna install my extended studs and possibly even redo the brakes while I have it on jackstands.
On your car, 205/45-16 and 215/45-16 tires should fit without rubbing, as long as your wheels have the proper offset and your car isn't ridiculously lowered. The same thing is true with 205/50-15 and 195/55-15, though; I can only guess that either the offset on your 15" wheels is no good, or your car is lowered too much for normal sized tires. And if the car is normally lowered, 205/45-16 will give you a bit more clearance than 215/45-16.
Also, the Nitto NeoGen is an all-season tire, designed for people who need to use the same tires in snow and frigid cold in winter as they do in moderate to warm temperatures the rest of the year. In exchange for that greater temperature flexibility, they don't perform as well in moderate to warm temperatures as summer tires do. If you don't drive to areas that experience harsh winters, you would get much better performance by buying summer tires rather than all-seasons. The Yokohama S.drive is a longer-lasting summer tire and is available in 205/45-16. If you're looking only for the very best performance - such as if you enjoy an occasional autocross or flogging the car on mountain roads - then you'd be better off with even stickier summer tires, such as the Kumho Ecsta XS in 215/45-16, or the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 or Toyo R1R in 205/45-16.
