ABS/non-ABS axle question

can an abs axle work with my hb? came across a good deal on a set of axles and bought them.

i had an abs axle on my passenger side and it worked fine, but i was told sometime ago that the abs axles for whatever reason will not work on the driverside. never tested it personally so i cant say for sure.
