Detailing 4yo maaco paint...
which one? theres different paint jobs. If its a single stage paint use some VERY light stuff with a white foam pad on a DA and you should be ok. If its the base/clear paint job just treat it like pretty much anyother soft paint job. i wouldn't go all out and id test in a hardly seen area before doing anything else on the car
Don't take offense to this but my first suggestion would be to post some pictures of what you're trying to deal with; you ARE looking for advice on an internet forum. Either that, or put your grammar to work and give us a description of some sort.
Also, how do you normally resolve defects in the paint job? What are your preferences? Have you ever detailed a car before using a machine (rotary or orbital)? And like the above poster asked, is it a single or multi-stage paint job?
Maaco CAN use decent paint. I've noticed that their level of quality varies greatly from store to store. Some Maaco shops here in Houston have better painters than indepenent shops that would charge double... I know that isn't the typical stereotype but I thought I would put it out there. Just because it came from them doesn't mean you should be afraid of working with it.

I have heard form different sources Maaco has some of the better painter due to the fact they paint so many cars. Thinking about taking my truck to them if I don't just shoot it myself.
