:s words:i wanted to know becouse i have all 3 transmissions but i dont know which one would make a bigger performance ..i had a f22 from an accord 92 it was pretty fast but really long gears..if anyone can help ,please let me know thanks..

well the thing is ..i meant this is a h22a (97 honda prelude engine) i was wondering wht tranny would work best and have most performance.. and how would vtec respond to this ..i had a accord tranny the prelude engine and i felt it was faster then the h23 tranny but i havent installed the h22 tranny onto the 97 h22 motor yet...but i heard its better to have a different tranny then the original h22 tranny ..? i just want to know which one will pick up faster speed cuz i know the longer the gears are the slower vtec will kik in?? i think

 

Believe it or not the f transmission is faster on a h22. 2 of my friends have h22 tranny and other 2 have f22 in there accords and the f series trannys have yet to lose when they run. They have also swapped driver in cars to.

 

It depends on when you start racing.

In the 1/4 mile, an H22 trans will win. From a 70 roll, an F22 trans would win.

 

i believe that becouse when i had the accord tranny i was going 80 mph then hitting the gas i would pick up to 130 mph without even knowing it (in a glance) and the h23 tranny takes a while to pick up even when being in vtec mode

 

like this guy says a b16 would be faster.ha even though you dont have one but you could sell your 3 that you dont need and do a H2B and be a lot faster than your other trannys would get you

 

so ur saying if i put a b16 TRANNY onto my h22a prelude engine it would be faster .? I DIDNT KNOW THAT THEY WERE COMPATIBLE ..IF SO HOW WOULD I GO ABOUT THAT.. CUZ I HAVE THE H22 MOTOR IN A 92 ACCORD COUP..OR DO U MEAN PUT A B16 ENGINE IN THE ACCORD

i checkd out the page sounds good but i saw prices of 1500 and 1600 on some websites .. seems better to just go turbo with the h23 tranny , but thats something ima ck into if i can get a lower price on the adaptor ,,if i can hell ya ill get the b16 tranny with the h22a at a good price ,u know

 

if your in an accord just stay w/ the h trans. if you do alot of drag racing, use the h22. if you do alot of hwy driving use the h23. the accord trans sucks at the track, like REALLY sucks. h22 trans = .5 quicker than accord trans.

and if you ever go H2B, make sure to get the Evolution kit w/o the flywheel and the QSD cromoly spacer.

evo kit + qsd spacer = BEST

 

well im just tring to get track time basicaly qiucker time and which picks up speed faster
