Hi guys!

Right now I'm debating if I want to purchase a ITR or Sir-G Front clip (both comes with JDM front conversion, motor, both with the 98spec ITR LSD Tranny, and the RHD conversion.) <- Basically everything that is needed to do a whole JDM conversion, difference is that the Sir-G body parts are cleaner with no dents and is about $500 cheaper then the ITR and also the Sir-G's color matches mine.

The thing about the front clip is, I dont know if I want to RHD conversion the car! My mechanic said I should do it since it's coming with the whole clip but I dont know if I can trust a Human Welder rather then Honda Machine doing the original LHD!? (get what Im saying)

So what do you guys think? Convert it or sell it?

btw if I do plan on selling it, how much do you think I should ask for it? $500?

I SAY DO IT!!!! Just find a GOOD welder to weld it for you, if he welds good then the penetration on the weld would be almost the same as a machine weld. human welds just look crappier because the weld C's arnt all exactly perfect. But there are some guys out there that can do damn near close to a machine weld. (my welding instructor told me)

 

idk what it they dont line up the car right!? That would be horrible! haha I think I might just sell it.

 

Oh i forgot about that ! VERY VERY TRUE! you dont want a crooked car. hahahahahaha if its not straight then its a GAY car!!!

 

keep it and do the conversion its just a firewall conversion extra that is needed since you plan on doing the sheet metal anyway. There is no risk of a crooked car, since your not cutting the whole front end off. Find a shop thats done it before ,thats all.

 

i say don't do it its way too much work I've bin researching rhd a lot and its a lot of work not just a fire wall you need all the harnesses.... if your firewall vin dont match the rest they could inpound your car and even crush it.........

I say leave it LHD if you don't what to have 2 VIN numbers on your car

 

its not even that bad of work done to the car. my buddy is doing it right now to his dc2. all you gotta do is get it referee'd and bring your old clip so that they can swap the VINs on the clip. idk if they charge but you could probley call and ask them. OR............another great option is DONT GET PULLED OVER for something stupid!!!!!!

sell it and put your money elsewhere in your car (motor, wheels, paint) i had a rhd car (legit from japan) and they are overrated, but do what you like...

 

I say put it on. I did a RHD conversion to my 99 Prelude, and after driving around in it, I get a lot of stares and asked a lot of questions about it. I did it just to be different, cause I've seen several RHD Civics and Integras, but never Preludes.

whatever you do dont cut your car in half and weld it be patient and go thru the fire wall because you might throw off the whole physics and aerodynamics of your car

But I would do it if i had the money. I don't see any where I live. Well, I've seen like 2. But either ppl don't drive their cars a lot or there just really isn't that many.
