Default 90 Civic Sedan Upper Control Arm/Balljoint Replacement???

Guys my upper balljoints are shot bigtime and I need to replace them. Any directions on hot-to? Doesn't look like it would be a big deal to do it but sometimes those are the ones that bite you. I understand you have to replace the entire control arm to replace balljoints on the uppers. True? Thanks guys for any suggestions.

You need to remove the shocks because there is a brace between the two anchors/bushings. Other than that, yeah its a piece of cake. Remember to use new cotter pins.

on 90-91 you dont have to replace the whole controle arm. Just remove the snap ring find a large socket and place the control arm between 2 pieces of wood the club it a few times to remove the old ball joint, if you have access to a press even better but most peaple dont have one handy. New upper ball joints are hard to find autozone has duralast, ebay has some.

Oh yeah I remember that brace that goes across there where it mounts to the body right? No way to get it out of there without removing the strut?
