biggest bore?
Using sleeves, what's the biggest bore you can get out of a 1.6 SOHC? This is in a 1998 civic coupe. Will a non-VTEC 1.8 integra head bolt up to the 1.6 SOHC civic block?
D series heads can bolt up to D series blocks only!
B series heads can bolt up to B series blocks only!
make sure u write this down 200 times on each!
Oh by the way welcome to the board!

the parts for a head swap would be taken from a 97 or higher Teg, and put on a 98 civic coupe (ex)...basically looking for inexpensive junkyard swaps etc. Need to make more power without putting multiple thousands into car..
holly **** batman this dumb *** can't read he said it couldn't be you can't have DOHC parts on a SOHC motor you could ditch your SOHC motor for an DOHC motor full swap
Yeah, that's kinda funny dipshit, considering I have a dohc head from a volvo 2.3 on my car, which was factory equipped with a sohc. I am not a honda person, just looking for interchangability options for a friends car. I can do the machine work if I have to, and am equipped to do so. I also have no problem doing some work with the water jackets to match them as well. I just need the numbers from someone that knows more than what they saw in a movie, or read in a magazine. I know there are some really talented people on this board that can give some advice. Unfortunatly there seem to be some real ******* on here. I am not new to cars, I have been in the buisiness for a while, and have many good references in the industry. I also have three ASE certifications, and also have certs. from BMW, Aston Martin and Jaguar. I was looking for some insight from a knowledgable person with personal experience with this type of work, not some ******* that's wasting my time. Thank you to the people who have worth while advice.

It doesn`t work, and even if you could somehow find a way, it`s pointless. There are plenty of cheap options for you buddy that make more sense. B-series swaps are a dime a dozen and you can find cheap b18a/b`s all over the place if you are looking for more displacement. I`ve seen longblocks w/ tranny for $1,000.

You can swap DOHC heads on some manufacturer's SOHC motors, but not with Hondas. The EX and LS motors are from totally different engine families. To get an LS motor in, you need the complete engine, tranny, and ECU.
