H22 HEAD WHAT TO DO?
im not sure if this is in the rite section so mods please move if necessary.
so i am finally trying to finish a four year long build of my h22 coupe. and i take the motor to have it checked out and finished up. so the shop where i took the head says that every exhaust valve is bent! the motor ran well before it got torn down, but that was 4 years ago. i know i want to do springs and retainers for more of a piece of mind and not floating a valve. And i was also told that the valve seats are all chewed up. so fellow h-t people. what should i do to get it running?
the setup is a sleeved h22a crower pro billet rods and je 9:1 pistons, 60-1. i am hoping to make 600 on race gas. and somewhere in the 400 range on pump.
thanks in advance.

whats up man, sorry to hear the head may need some work.
considering the cams your running i wouldnt be concerned w/ valve float unless your planning on revving to 9k or more. if you want to add valvetrain i would suggest skunk2 tuner series. there are plenty others out there, but i know those will work from experience.
your valves could have been slightly bent and you wouldnt have noticed w/o checking leakdown. car would have seemed to run fine. unless you were very consistant at the track you wouldnt have noticed otherwise.
sounds like the seats are probably pitted w/ carbon. hopefully a simple valvejob will take care of that. if the valves are bent i would suggest replacing them w/ new oem valves. just stay away from supertech, they break.
i know your in a hurry, but i would suggest sending it to Brad @ RLZ. he is the best in the industry and his infamous valvejob will get you more power over the rest for sure.
if your gonna take it somewhere local make sure they do honda heads on a regular basis otherwise you could end up w/ more problems and downtime.
