Default All motor heaven!!

I have a 88 crx hf with jdm b16a motor, CM clutch stage 1, and CM flywheel, exhaust and shogun CAI. Now here is what im gonna get all at once tomorrow at the shop and have it installed!!

DC sports JDM 4-1 header(2 1/2 inch collector)
Civic Type R pistons w/rings
Skunk2 stage 3 camshafts
Skunk2 racing valvesprings
SKunk2 Titanium retainers
Skunk2 DOHC cam gears

I run around 14.7 right now in the 1/4.....any predictions on hp gain to the wheel?? and predictions in the 1/4. I will post dyno after mods as soon as possible?

Sorry to interject...I put a 4-1 jdm header on my B18b (88 civic hatch). I had to hammer my crossmembers at least half way to fit. I just recently purchased a crossmember by place racing though...I didnt think my crossmembers were strong enough after I hammered it like ****..

thats what I was wondering about because yolu have no room for a 4-1 header with out a place racing crossmember or custom cut and welded one.

Just some minor cutting and hammering, a JDM 4-1 will fit with a b series.

Guy: "Watcha got under the hood?"
Me: "A motor."

by definition a MOTOR is driven by electricity while an ENGINE creates it.
so its not a stupid questino its a stupid answer.
HAH

nobody cares about this guys engine buildup. I know someone who said "i'll have the shop throw these pistons in" it took 8 weeks for the shop to quit lagging and put the engine back in his car.
pay later, dont pay them prior to install except for parts! mucho importante'

and what about intake manifold, and are you gona run straight pipe off the header?
what kind of crossmember are you using, a solid one will help you get better grip, alot better

Sounds like a nice set up, but what about fuel? You should consider an FPR, and possibly a VAFC or computer upgrade, then hit the dyno. good luck

By definition, a motor is a device that converts any form of energy into mechanical energy either via internal combustion or electromagnetically. So it is a just answer. I never said it was a stupid question. It was just a sarcastic answer to some cocky guy asking me what I had under the hood.

Anyways, here is what to do in order to clear the 4-1 headers, except in the picture I cut more then I needed to.

And here is the poor clearance of the headers

those stage 3 cams are gonna tear up your valvetrain like mike tyson vs your little brother....id step it down to stage 2's....since 3's are for basically all out race applications...

A motor is just simply a device that generates motion. So it could be an electric motor, a gasoline engine, a jet engine, a rocket, a muscle, or even a wound rubber band. An engine, on the other hand, is a device that converts thermal energy into some form of work. So of the above, only the gasoline engine, the jet engine, and the rocket are engines. As you can see, most engines are also motors. This goes for the engine in your car. By the way, not all engines are motors. Thermoelectric and Magnetohydrodynamic generators and both engines since they both convert heat into electricity (a form of work). But since they generate electricity rather than mechanical energy, they are NOT motors.

I can't seem to find a picture that I had but theres about a little less then inch clearance between the crossmember and header. I checked and they never seem to touch each other so its ok.

even with valve train id reccomened a nice amount of head work, and it will still tear that **** up, those cams are made for race cars, that are race purpose built.
