Intake Y8/Z6 Manifold

mpfi
d16 cam if you got a d15 which you should have
mini me fer sure! (use y8, i love it)
have you any experience with motor swaps? if ya do get a zc motor swap for 500 bucks and call it a day
EDIT:I think the automatic cams out of a d16 have a slightly higher lift than the manual d16s. going off of memory here, so im not 100% its definetely an improvement

uuhhh, yes the mpfi does bolt onto the dpfi engine. gotta do some wiring, but other than that, it works.

I'm kinda new to the Honda scene. I have a civic ex sedan d15 auto tranny and was wondering what parts from other hondas are compatible with mine. And was wondering what engine would be the best for my civic. I'm looking to get about around 200 hp
are you out of your mind??? why would put an h22 into a civic? The torque alone will just make you do circles all day long!!! and the modifications to the engine bay are a pain in the... well you know what I mean...
^ no he isn't out of his mind. Lots of people do them. I've been thinking of saving up for a H22 and getting a H2b and being satisfied with it that way. single cam all motor only goes so far
Don't forget he's a lil new to the "ef mod" scene appearently, so i wouldn't set his first project up wit an h2b. 2 problems: not a straight swap (theres gonna be a lot involved in goin from dual point to h2b) & if he gets it in.... understeer.
well i was thinking about just doin a 1st gen b16 swap...but seeing as i don't have much experience in this which would be easier and give me better results the swap or all the stuff you guys have been saying?
Holy crap this thread is a perfect reason why I don't come in here.
Ok you ignorant nub cakes. The H22 isn't much more a hassle anymore due to all the kits out there.
You gripe about making too much torque? LSD and H series trans are so damn long it's not that big a deal compared to a built B with a good tranny. H2bs can be a handful out of the hole even with a good limited slip.
Understeer yes but same with Ks, the H is easier to correct though.
Touge ROFL dude, you are the reason honda drivers get a bad name and I pay just a hair less for my civic on insurance then I do for my real sports car.
Also if you really were worried about going fast on turns Horse power would be the last thing to look at.
Let this quote from one of the best automotive minds sink it "Horse power makes cars faster in the straights, removing weight makes cars faster everywhere" +50 points to anyone who gets this who is not an OG... Toad, Kip, Kent etc this means you
There is no reason for you to swap your cooling system at this time the rad or the thermostat, your cooling is fine.
Basically what ever road you go down MPFI swap is going to be needed, so get that out of the way.
What you need to do is plan things out, set a real budget match it with your real goals and adjust where you need to.
