That seems fast for the car and mods you've described. I have a 97 gsr with a short ram intake, blox intake manifold ( was told it was Skunk2 but he lied ) comptech header and exhaust and my best time to date is a 16.1 90mph

my time slip broke down like this

RT - .326
60 ft - 2.522
330 - 6.983
660 - 10.548
mph - 70.256
1000 - 13.598

ET - 16.146
MPH - 89.935

How can I get down in that low 15 sec range. what tips can you give me for the launch. what suspension, wheels, and tires are you running?

Sounds pretty delicious to me :D . I used to have a 94 gsr (bought it from a girl in 2006) I dont think it was raced out... it had tons of power still. I took it to the track a couple of times and my best time was 15.1xx completely stock. I just took of the muffler from axle back and poured in 100 octane :D (of course it was lowered). A lot of people didn't believe me and said I had this and that under the hood. I lost my time slip somehow or else i would post it (sorry).

it's either driver skill or your car is down on compression. when my gsr was stock i clicked 15.1-15.2@91 all day. air temp is also another BIG factor. if the engine is somewhat cool and the outside airtemp is down you will get a strong mph number

that's a good time. one of the local guys has the same car & is dead even with me at the track. i have a jdm itr swap with a nice exhaust in a DC2. neither of us have broke a 14.5 as of yet. we'll see what colder weather does. it's the age old story, the k20 is the superior engine but i'm lighter

1999 GS 2dr (AT) 15.2 1/4mile, JDM SIR-G Transmission, JDM ITR Header, Evo2 or Skunk2 catback (Don't remember), Lots of fuel upgrade, AEM short ram, Skunk2 IM, S-AFC, and Full Sound system inside Fiberglass with CF on top enclsd and Nitrous but never used the Nitrous also on 17" wheel that are 11lbs each. That's incld with a JDM SIR-G front end conversion and ITR spoiler in the rear along with ITR full lip kit.

I be running again on the track prob in December privet track rental or next spring. Just waiting for my motor to be done and put back into the engine bay. Audio system is out of vehicle and sold.

my ls only has roughly 60k on it. its the origonal motor. so mine is a little bit fresher than most. but im launching in between 4000-4500 rpm and im just giving it a normal clutch realease and petal mashed. i still get a little bit of wheel spin but no bog. ill post the time slip if i ever find it lol
