Default Got my car painted **PICS**

I had good experience with Maaco when I got my 1990 Supra painted there a couple of years ago so I took it to them again to get my project car (95 Integra) painted. I got their cheapest paint which is the "Presidential" $229 special :mamoru:. I also added integrated clear coat & sealer so the total came to $357 after tax. The car came out looking great & I can't complain or nick-pick about anything for the price of the paint job.

The only downside is that I can't wash or wax the car until after 30 days.

they didnt thin out the paint enough, plus there looks like a lack of clear on the paint finish

Looks pretty good for the price! If you spent a little time wet sanding and buffing it, then it would look tons better!

I'm kinda curious if you prepped also? Because for that price, you know they didn't do much!

Looks good though, I hope it holds up for you.

I did a quick sanding down of the car with 320 grit. I didn't wet sand it or anything else and brought the car to them. They did the rest: cleaning the car, taping it up and paint it.

Using more thinner is harder to apply, the guy probably used a 10% thinner ratio, I have used 20%, its produces a glassy finish but is much harder to spray, way to easy to get a run or sag without good lighting.

I think for the money these guys did a spanking job, are the Polish Mexicans by any chance, give them a big thumb up from Scotland
