So my EKs windows are pretty hard to crank up and down, definitely harder than they should be, especially the drivers side. They also leave this nasty residue on the actual glass of the window and sometimes these chunks of dirt will come out with it.

Anyone know what to do about this? I assume the window needs to be re-greased but I'm not sure what parts. Any recommended grease as well?

check the window tracks... see if the rubber is deformed and making the glass bind going up and down, mine does it... its annoying but im too lazy to fix it.

 

The weather stripping that slides down the window tracks is probably dry as f*ck,
Forcing your window down can bend your regulator and once they get bent its fubar'd.
Take your door panel off and inspect it, Make sure your glass hasnt fallen out of the track as well.

You need to get some ZEP 45, It wont ever dry out or harm the rubber on your window. I sprayed mine like 6 months ago and its still smooth. This sh*t is slick. Spray all the rubber your window glides on, But dont spray a ton, A little does alot.
