i got a extra hood(its for the winter days cause of rock chips and salt ) and im thinking about painting it black and putting it on my car


does any one have pictures of their car with a black hood, POST IT UP so i can see what it looks like,

 

Since the hood is extra why don't you do it anyway. Then you can see for yourself, both ways. Don't let people tell you how to make your car look.

Nothing looks good with a black hood. Looks like its piece mailed from the junk yard and too poor to get a paint job.

 

personal preference. The black hood style has been around for ages, who really cares what people on the internet think. people will probably ask you if its carbon fiber alot. If you want to walk up to and get into a green car with a black hood than just do it.

 

x2 i guarantee people are just going to ask you when you're going to get your hood painted to match.

 

i had a flat black hood on my cypress green coupe, only lasted 3 days (no pics) because i got pulled over the cops checked out everything and in the end they could only give me an exhaust ticket but that's still 110 bucks so the hood got taken back off and the stock one went back on. no more unwanted attention. it did look alright though

Ps the exhaust was on the car for almost 2 years with zero problems from the cops

 

If the rims and tail lights arent tacky enough...throw on the hood. and leave it light blue too.

 

I personally don't think a black hood looks good on any Civic other than a black one.

And I kinda don't think those rims look good on any Civic either. But, what do I know... people hate on mine all the time too lol.

 

this is coming from a guy that has hub caps for rims and a none oem carbon fiber intake, whats that suppose to do, lose 2 lbs and make your car go faster.....

ANYWAYS back to the subject! any 1 have pictures of there car with a black hood?

 

what about a carbon fiber hood, they look pretty much black from far away but would you get one and paint it?

 

I have a black hood on my accord, trust me it doesnt look good, i replaced it when someone hit me in the front and it had to be replaced.. cant wait to paint it. it only looks black for a little while after a month or so it looks faded gray

 

It will only look good in a "Hood Rat" manner...

 

"Does a Black Hood look good on a color car?" If the color is black. Who cares?

 

get a CF hood instead
