Installing tweeters in 2000 civic ex sedan?
So I was looking into buying some OEM tweeters to go in the mirror garnishes in my 2000 civic ex 4dr. I need more high sounds since installing my subs. I was wondering, is it prewired for them in an EX? If so is it just plug-n-play? If not, what do I need to wire it and how do I do so? Thanks a lot.
P.S. i tried the search engine, but I can never get good results from it.

not sure if they all are. But if not just run in parallel with the mid-range speaker and it should have a little capacitor on the tweeter. If not you will need a crossover.
And does anyone know for sure if an ex sedan is prewired? Thanks.
if not prewired then run your own wires from the mid to the tweeter and a capacitor looks like a small cylinder and it keeps certain frequencies from going to the tweeter
And if I were to take off the mirror garnishes, could I tell from there if it's pre-wired? If so I just need to figure out how to take them off.
Okay, so it sounds like the wiring should be pretty accessible. Ill take off a door panel this weekend to make sure. Wheres a good place to buy these? Cheapest Ive found is $45 shipped for both sides, even on eBay. Thanks again!

nope they are not prewired. In my car I tapped into the speaker wiring and ran it to the tweeters. I used Si tweeters but I needed to get jdm tweeter pods since the Si ones dont fit the 4dr. see https://honda-tech.com/forums/audio-security-video-27/civic-sedan-oem-tweeters-2449683/ for the part #'s
Ugh, so coupe mirror garnish tweeters won't fit a sedan? And here I was thinking I found a brand new pair for $50, but they're for a coupe..
The only ones that fit are the JDM tweeter pods, not coupe ones. They are rare, and so they cost $$$. I just recieved a set someone was selling here.
