Hello... Honda-Tech!

I don't go on here much but I need help...
I just got a '04 TL and I'm trying to do all the maintenance & tune up myself...

What's the Spark Plug gap?

I looked in the owner's manual it didn't say... & checked on online at a few sites and all said 1.016 mm gap...<--[Is that right? Just wanna make sure]

You don't need spark plugs, till 105k. you don't need to gap it, if you buy the oem plugs.

it never hurts to check the gap. ppl at the fatory/ warehouse/ store might have dropped it/ the box, kicked it, thrown it, ect... but dont gap them, just check the gap.

 

call your local autoparts store vatozone, oriellys, etc.

 

They should come pre-gapped. Honda lists two acceptable spark plugs, and you can get either one at an Autoparts store. Just check the gaps on all 6 before you leave the store and make them replace any that are not to spec. This is what the OEM shop manual says to do.

Do not gap them, check them and swap out bad ones...
