Car: 98 Integra GSR
Motor will crank but won't turn over whatsoever.
info:
-Injectors have power going to them
-Spark plugs are new and work (they spark)
-Fuel pump works
-spark plug wires are new OEM wires, and work
-firing order is correct (used the diagram below)
-gas is full
-battery is good
-grounds are good
-connections are good and tight
diagram i used for firing order:

Yes. I saw spark. and after cranking the spark plugs are wet with fuel. Also I pulled the fuel line (against the firewall) and cranked it for a sec and fuel came out. So definately getting fuel and spark.
I'm thinking there's got to be something wrong with the ECU but im pretty much stumped

I also tried some different firing order combos and the one in my first post is definately the correct one.
The only thing I did was install spark plug wires yesterday. And I just installed new plugs since I was in there, but they are gapped and installed correctly, etc.

update, there's no spark anymore. Cant be 100% sure if there was spark to begin with, my dad was the one looking for it he said he saw it (he is a licensed mechanic)
no spark = bad wires? you should re-use the old wires that were working before (i assume they were working), since you said you replaced the wires maybe they could be faulty and you bought the unlucky box of wires

Yup already tried that. Old wires don't work either. Yesterday everything started up fine. It's just today giving me problems.
I'm completely stumped. My friend said something about the dizzy connections being burnt out but at this point I'm about ready to bite the bullet and tow it to a local acura stealership to see if they can diagnose it.

Hmm what if I blew the ICM, it's basically a fuse, right?
Some more info i forgot to mention yesterday I painted my valve cover, everything was reinstalled correctly but I forgot to connect the engine ground. I rode around for a little bit without it connected (1 hour's worth of driving i'd guess). It was acting weird, bogging down, weird A/F it seemed, even stalled out once.
So maybe having the ground disconnected for a short period has something to do with it?

Here's where I read about ICM's http://www.team-integra.net/forum/di...g+Common+Topic
some good info in there.
something in the dizzy would definately explain why there is no spark, but would it explain why I had problems driving it last night? Started up fine, but would bog down under low RPMs and even stalled. The fact that the car was running means the dizzy was working, right? that's the thing that's confusing me.

My car did the same thing you described. It was driving fine and the next morning it wouldn't crank at all. I replaced everything you mentioned, (plugs, wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, cap, rotor, checked the injectors for flow, checked fuel pressure, carb cleaned the TB) and it still wouldn't turn over but it would crank. I checked the plugs for spark, cause the week before I noticed super bad gas mileage and tried one last thing, the ignitor in the dizzy. Well that didn't do it so I had the car towed to the shop that helps me out and not an hour later the owner called and said it was the dizzy. He took it apart, put everything back together and it was gravy. Haven't had a problem since.

so you suggest I take it apart and put it back together?
Might as well if I'm going to end up towing it...

Yes, haha I do suggest that you take er apart and try and reassemble it. It should take you ~2 hours ish. My "mechanic" tech buddy did mine in just over an hour.

either bad iginitor or coil is burnt. Once the coil is removed, you can tell if the coil is burnt by a little burn mark on the front corner of the coil. You can't miss it.

Lots of you got it right. It was the ignition coil.
Got absolutely raped on price by the shop, but it's all fixed now, and next time if it ever happens I know exactly what it is. I also know the internal workings of the dizzy. Learned a lot from this mis hap.
Thanks guys
