Ok well i bought a AC Autotechnic CAI. its carb legal for cali and payed only 50 bux..new. My question is it came with these bracket looking things that i dont know how they go. Or if they are even used and how? Ive seen all the ebay intakes come with it also. Kind of like the ones on this pic. Any light on this is very appreciated. Im just curious cuz i couldnt figure out their purpose. If anyone knows how they go please feel free to educate.

 

they hold the intake.. like to mount it. ill find a picture for example.

its just a thing to hold the intake.

 

ya it just bolts by your strut to hold up the intake. You dont usually need it but its good to put it in there if you have it.

 

That's crazy. Cuz that **** barely even holds my intake. Its a CAI so it would be great to have a bracket hold it. I'm paranoid it might fall...LoL. And the bracket in the pic looks like it was made to work. Not like that's how it goes. Cuz he twisted it. But what's the small one for? I would like to see a pic of it installed right. Or so to speak.

 

the small one would go lower i assume, like where the bracket is welded on AEM's
