hey guys. i might be ripping apart my block due to rod knock. so while its open i might as well put in some upgraded engine internals. any suggestions on any cheap engine mods i should get while the block is apart?. thanks in advance!..

 

The parts aren't really that expensive... it's the labor that gets you. I honestly wouldn't skimp on internals anyway though. I think if you are going to build your motor, do it right.

Do you plan to do all the labor yourself, besides the machine work I am assuming?

 

yah. i wanna do it right. and yah that was the plan at first. but i think im gunna take it in. that way if i hear anything. i take it back. haha.

 

Well then what are your goals? Are you going high compression NA, or are you thinking about going boost?

 

each has their own set of guidelines you kinda have to follow when it comes to buying the goods.
