For 1/4 your only running 16.8? That's pretty disappointing with the B16 head. Have you tried it with different tires?

Or it might just be the track. Try another track and see how you run.

The 60' is horrible, and you should be trapping a higher mph than 83mph. You need to be tuned on that setup, not just chipped with some funky bs basemap. Those times are horrible, stock GSR's run a solid 15.5. You need a good street and dyno tune, and some more seat time.

Also, the higher elevation will kill a car's performance.

Did you look a the correction factors for your runs?
try 15.77 @ 88.87mph
http://www.wallaceracing.com/altitudecorrection.htm
you are about 5000ft, right.

Lets see we have a 1.8 b16 with a crappy tune. Those times are not that bad.
Your 60' is bad. around 2.3 on street tires should be your target. What rpm did you lauch at?
You should look into replacing that chipped ECU with a Hondata S300 and get it tune.

On stock tires and suspension that is really good. How was you 60'?

he posted his 60'.... 2.581

It can be a factor of many things.... altitude, if your car is tuned properly, tires, traction, weather, launching, etc. Although it might be slightly disappointing, keep practicing on launching your car and getting your tires to hook up.

OP, work on your 60's. And I'm guessing this setup isn't tuned? I would look into that, if you want all the power out of your setup.

yeah that is pretty bad but its might just be that your can need to be tune since u did a LS/vtec swap. also i see your 60 feet time is bad as well and that can change your time by a bit. when u lauchi try to not to burn out as u lauching. try to get to your highest rpm laugh without burning out. sometime with bad tires that number would be low

Tire spin could be the problem ! What are you launching at ? What tranny are you running ?

How is changing your header and intake then a trany swap STOCK? You have now have a shorter gear ratio than a GSR. Of course your time should be better.
Good Light.

Intake and headers dont make a big difference in power without supporting mods and plus im running a stock exhaust.

ya you could definitely get ur 60' foot times down a little bit, but another thing is that you should probably stop taking it to 9k, you most likely are loosing power after 8500rpms so that extra 500rpms your taking it to is making less power than if u just shifted and got in the "sweet spot" of your powerband.

Would you happen to have the dyno graph of this beast?
I don't think I have ever seen a 1.8 make over 150lbs that WASN'T on E85.
What MPH did you run with these times?

You make a post looking for advice. You get advice. Now you rip on us. NOT COOL.
I believe early on in the post someone adjusted your time for your altitude. Knowing you where on 17's would have also been helpful.

"p28 chipped for 9k" and yes this means you have a crappy tune. There is no way you are making any power near 9k with b16 cams. Many if not all chipped ECU are very very conservative. This is why we suggested getting it tuned.

You asked how to get better and we gave some suggestions. Now take then as constructive or ignore then.
You don't however need to be a high school ***** about it.
