Exedy Clutch/Clutch master cylinder and pushrod assy. question and request.
Ok, well, I got my Exedy organic clutch and Comptech flywheel in, but now I've run into an interesting problem. Since there's a bulletin out on the clutch, I went to do the required adjustment, but it appears that my pushrod assembly is different from OEM(if not the master cylinder and everything).. Instead of having a locking nut and a nut with a boot on it to adjust, i have a locking nut and some sort of bell thing on the rod, which doesn't appear to be able to be adjusted independantly.. fortunately, the car is driveable, i just have to shift with the pedal only 3/4 down..
if possible, can someone post the exploded diagram out of the helms, or off acura's part's computer that show's this assembly? i especially need a view of the pushrod, but the whole master cylinder assy. would be a great help..
and my questions - can I just replace the pushrod with an OEM one, or does the whole master cylinder need to be replaced along with it? or is this a pedal issue?
**INTERESTING NOTE: I talked to exedy about this, and people with this clutch are familiar with the adjustment that is needed to be performed in order to be able to shift with the pedal at the floor, but everyone will probably find this amusing. The guy at exedy/daiken suggested that I either a)possibly replace the assembly, or b) place a block of wood, secured with duct tape, on the floor so the pedal stops earlier. Yes. He really said that. I'll be sure to call them with any more technical questions I have.

ok, so I DO have the original assembly then, it sounds like? i guess I'm just losing my mind or something..
is the rod supposed to move independantly of the "bell thing"(as i call it.. hehe..), once the locking nut is loosened?
sheesh.. i read all the stuff I found in search about this and still am not getting it.. hehe..
for me..
