ok so heres the story
motor has a funny idle, sometimes stays right at 100rpm other times casually drops as if it wants to shut off.
when its at 1000rpm it has a slight ticking noise and it sounds as if it comes from the block,
when it starts to wanna shut off it gets louder.

but then as soon as the car is around 1500+rpm the noise vanishes?

help??

 

i had that same problem......and it was that i had spun a rod bearing but a could be wrong. hopefully that helps

 

its just such a quiet noise that it dosent sound like a KNOCK just like a small tap

did you end up replacing the bearing or no?
