Default GROSS POLLUTER

i went today to have my car inspected for a cat because the idiot police officer been a dick and all wrote on the ticket that i didn't have one even though i replace my cat n muffler last year, so i didn't pass but i am wondering why i didn't pass, i told the guy i have an intake n headers on it and he was cool about it i ask him if those two parts were gonna be a problem he said no it might be my cat so i went to the shop and replaced it so now idk what else to check or fix.
by the looks of the picture can someone tell me what else can it be??
thanks

for those numbers to be that high im suspecting your cat has gone bad and all the metals in the middle are gone.....if what you did doesnt fix it take it to an exaust shop....id be willing to bet they could take it off n look right through it as trhe cat is probably empty

well my numbers did lowered with the new cat in but the last numbers 2954,2025 where still high, he suggested it was the egr solenoid as the egr valve is fine

Trust me man, put on the stock exhaust manifold and it will make a difference, just because he's a cool guy he wont fail you on the visual, but that doesn't mean you can pass the readings with them on

Probably because the inspector was a bseries CRX fanboy

Yeah just put on the stock header and then test. Your gonna spin yourself in circles and pay for little anonymous parts when you could just throw the stock header on for the inspection then swap it right back off. The head flows much more with headers. Enough to fail an inspection, The guy who keeps telling you it's not is not doing you a favor and he probably knows it too. You have to go to a street connect inspector that will pass you for a few extra$ if you don't want to swap the headers.

haha nah it wasnt with a crx actually it was with my 92 accord....while headers will throw higher numbers the numbers usually arent high enough to make you fail without another problem causing it

headers will not even get you close to the acceptable limits, let alone to gross polluter limits.... clean your egr ports Honda engines of this time period are known for this problem

I agree. EGR ports in the intake manifold are probably clogged. EGR is responsible for reducing combustion temperatures and keeping Nitrogen from oxidizing in the engine. ( NOx)

Buy a bottle of the "Guarantee to pass" stuff @ Wal-Mart for like $15. If you don't pass, send them your failed inspection and they'll refund you for both.
