Icon6 Thinking K20z3 EP

Well i am on the market of buying a EP
Always liked, now is time to get it.
I do have a K20z3 low miles full swap
that will go right in with the right bolt-ons
K-pro ( still cant find a reason why Not
Header ( not sure quite which one yet )
Exhaust ( will be 3'' but something quite)
Intake ( most likely will make my own )
that will be the start of it.

Now i kinda want to know the exact weight
of the EP and/or any recommendations on
things i should be aware of when doing the swap.

Thanks and Pics will be post soon.

Isn't the z3 from a 06+ Si? Isn't Kpro not compatible with them?

dam, noone reads around here....issues with the z3 into a ep3...
1)trans speedsensor is wrong and will not work withkpro and the ep3 harnes, z3 harness/ecu will not work with ep3 gauges There are 3 fixes for this a) put a ep3 speed sensor into the z3 trans, this means putting the tooth ring onto the diff and drilling and taping the speed sensor into the trans case. b) delta elec or something like that makes a converter forthespeed sensor signel. c) screw it, use the ep3 case...all of this stuff is on k20.org

2)The shift arm is backward on the z3 trans, you need the shift arm from the ep3 trans and the al housing that holds it...holes have to be drilled and tapped.....k20.org again

3) the z3 tb is tbw...you have to use the ep3 tb.

4) the motor mounts are different, you have to use the ep3 ones.

have fun

Default Thinking K20z3 EP

Thanks for the Info thats what i need to find out...
i guess K20.org will do good for me.

I was just looking for people that had done this
into their EP so it can make my life easier when i get to do
the swap...

Whats the best header for around $$ 500-600?

headers are pretty much "you get what you pay for"....I am not impressed with the dc rh, stupid flex joint and the cyclinders are batched in the wrong order.
