Sup Honda hobbyists. I have a question about brake conversion on a 97-98 Civic. I have a Civic EX with rear drums and have a set of 94-01 integra trailing arms. My question is can a 99-00 civic si rear caliper and bracket fit on a 94-01 integra trailing arm? If not then Id have to go with an integra set of calipers which leads me to the next question. Will a civic si 99-00 master cylinder, booster, and proportioning valve work with the rear integra calipers without any problems? Are LS, GS, GSR calipers all same as well? Thanks again.

 

wats goin on again, just got home from the shop. If anyone got info on it let me know. I just ordered a brake master cylinder, booster, and proportioning valve from honda, just need to know if I could use si or tegra. Then id have to go through acura for those. Holla back thanks!

 

All you need is Si e-brake cables. The Integra calipers will work with your setup. They are interchangeable with the Si anyway.

 

ok great thanks for the info. By what you're saying with integra trailing arms a 99-00 civic si caliper will fit to it. COuld I use integra brake cables?

 

No, because the Integra brake cables at the rubber piece is a different type of design. The Si cables have independent rubber pieces cause there are two holes the rubber pieces cover when the cable goes into the passenger compartment. If you don't get the Si cables, you'll hear annoying wind sounds while driving.

 

Ok so with a 97 civic
94-01 integra trailing arm
99-00 civic si rear caliper pad and rotor and caliper bracket
99-00 civic si booster master cylinder and pro valve
99-00 civic si park brake cable.

With those parts I'm good to go? Thanks for the info

 

yeah they will fit. it isent a must too change the prop valve, iv did my rear disk conversion months ago and never did the prop valve, the prop valve limits the flow of fluid too the rear calipers/drums too prevent locking up, and in the 4 months iv done my disks the rears have never locked up in wet or dry roads, and i was delibriatly trying too lock them too see if they would lock in wet weather before????

 

Well, what model do you have? It may have the same prop valve as the Si to begin with. He's rollin' in a EX which has a different prop valve than the Si. I'd change it, but I'm a perfectionist.

no i have a 93 ex coupe, i did want to change the prop valve at first but i had trouble getting one then i was told it was fine too use the stock one so i tested it by slamming on the breaks a few times and it was fine
