i replaced the light bulb for my 94 civic hatch foglights and when i turn them on they blow the fuses. it had a 30 amp fuse it in originally so i put in a 40 amp fuse in. Now all the wires some and melt whenever i turn them on. i dont know if its because im grounding out or the fuse is to much amps. any advise??

dude. make sure the ground is grounded properly
but this seems to be your problem. your power wire is touching ground. that will blow anyfuse and or start fires......................................

 

yea, double check all your wires for the foglite. It seems like there's a loose wire or broken wired somewhere, it's might be grounding out. Good luck.

 

Yes sirr..I had that problem also..every time i put on a new fuse and turned it on..It' blow. So i took everything out and re checked all my wires and a little part of my ground wire was loose and it was touching i think my bumper frame which was metal..so I just taped it up with electrical tape and that fixed that..hope you get it.

 

just had the same problem a couple days ago. they were cheap eBay ones. make sure you actually take the light apart where the wires go into the light and check those wires too.

 

After market fogs are very picky for some reason you have to make sure you have a very strong power and strong ground or they just wont work.

 

hey i got a quick question my buddy and i put a pair of foggies on my 00 coupe and we had problems after we got everything put in but we figured out the problem we were grounding the power wire and we fixed that then the next day they stopped working again and we had found water in the orange and blue connector that connects to another wire and is covered by a clear i wanna say but connector, so then the relay stopped clicking so i ordered another relay from the company i bought them from and put it in yesterday and still no luck any one have any ideas as to why its still not working? thanks
