Default ls gearset on gsr shafts?

hey guys. i have a blown 95 gsr trans (chewed syncros and hubs) and a good cable ls (think its a 92).

my car is a 92 hatch so its hydro. can i put the good cable gearset on the gsr's main and countershaft?

so itd be like a gsr FD with LS 1-5. still be hydro.

that work???

hell the gsr gears are good. could i use the ls syncros and hubs on the gsr gearset???

If it is a 92 trans, then yes, the gears are compatible on the shaft. You'll only really be changing 3-5 though, as the GSR 1-2 are the same as the LS. Also, the LS synchro hubs/sleeves/synchros don't fit the GSR gears for 2/3/4. Can't remember for 5/R.

Provided that you have the 92-93 'big spline' LS trans, yes.

a 92-3 cable is the same as the hydro.

if it was a 90-1 it would look significantly different.
