So you already have a chipped P28? I would just run the Chipped P28 and get it tuned if you havent gotten it tuned already. Just make sure its chipped to run a B series, since a P28 is for a D series originally.

well i put the chipped p28 in last night and drove around today. it def runs in my engine. engine runs the same as the p30 that was in previously so i take it it is chipped for a b16a. also when i installed the p28 my cel went off. what could cause this???? all i really noticed was my vtec kicks in at around 4500 instead of 5500. but when it does kick on earlier it seems like its not as strong as when it was at 5500. at 5500 when it kicked on it was considerably louder than before vtec hit. i know that at higher rpm it is louder but its only 1000 and its quite a difference in tone when the vtec kicks in. is this normal.

its because of how the cams are designed. The VTEC lobes arent made to make power @ Low RPM. They are strictly high RPM cams.
