short shifter, which one?
my CRX has a b16 lsd cable trans in it and it has "civic b-series shift linkage" to work with it. i read this on the invoice from the PO's trip to the speedfactory, a shop in my area. will just a regular short shifter for a crx work or do i need one for a civic or somethin?
You could have saved yourself some time by searching, but the shifters are all compatible for EF, EG, EK and 94-01 tegs. Probably older tegs as well.

wow, noone with the bull **** "it ****s your transmission up" story?
i like the skunk2 myself. or a megan, they're pretty decent too. just stay away from ebay **** like someone else said up there. i broke on in my 90 integra, and cut my wrist and i ended up punching the cd player when i was smacking into 3rd. lol.

^ agree. that and a circuit hero shift extender....feels REALLY nice. my friends gsr turbo has one for when he drags it. makes me drool every time i get to sit in it and just shift haha
INCORRECT! 94-01 tegs are different and are NOT bolt on in a civic. Stop giving out wrong information, please know what you are talking about first.

I got a 94 teg shifter on my tranny right now. bolted in and everything. didnt have to bend or cut a single thing. I also have one for a 96 sitting in my tool box as i type this. I think its the later 98-01 that dont work.
im hearing a lot about the OEM GSR dual bend shifter. if all the shifters are compatible then they must be all very similar, except for single and dual bend. is the second bend what gives it the shorter throw feel?
no thats NOT what gives a shorter throw. what gives it that throw is from the ball of the shifter down, the distance is increased, this means that the distance traveled by the TOP end of the shifter is decreased. dual bend shifters (from what I hear) are a tiny bit longer on the bottom half but thats it.
thats what i was thinking! because it makes pure sense. the guy i bought my car from said he had a hurst short shifter to give me. and i went to put it on and kept telling myself no this cant be right. because the distance between where the ball is and the shift linkage bolts on is way longer, and the shaft was barely shorter above the ball. but i guess it will work then. but then my shift linkage changes angles, and hangs lower. ever any problems with that?
skunk2 duel bend and skunk2 **** works great for me, had the set up in a 88 CRX Si and have it in my 94 Del Sol, love it!! (different shifters, not saying they will or will not interchange)
ALL OF THE SHIFTERS WILL WORK JUST FINE.
