Default blown head gasket? HELP

so my z6 turbo just started to overheat when i drive. but when i hit a stop light the temp gauge goes down a little, then back up when i start to drive again. i also have coolant towards the passenger front side of my engine bay. none of my hoses are leaking and i think i can see more oil than usual on the block by the engine serial number. im pretty sure i blew my headgasket but just want some opinions on the weird coolant issue. oh and my coolant resavoir is a little full but ive drove it like that for a week.

take you radiator cap off and start your car and see if it blows coolant out. check your oil and see if you have coolant in it. if you do it will be milky.

I would recommend doing a cooling pressure test to try and locate were the coolant is going it may not be a head gasket but maybe a water pump or hose. Also a really easy check is to fill her up have some one press on the throttle when your looking out the tail pipe (after car has warmed up) white smoke definitely have a head gasket, black bluish color looking more towards oil.

Do you have solid oil pressure?

well this z6 has been in my ek for a week now and its always spit out a descent amount of white smoke. ive been driving like that with no problems. (just not getting on it AT ALL) i checked my oil and it looks fine, im getting a second opinion from my friend though. but this motor has about 160,XXX and i feel like it hasnt been changed so ill just change the headgasket. but im really having no luck with a boosted dseries. last week threw a rod, this week blown headgasket. : (

if you blew the head gasket you can get exhaust in the cooling system, and when you take the cap off and stat it the exhaust will blow the coolant out if it is gettin in the cooling system.

when you take your head off look at it good to see if you see any cracks on it. your head could be cracked.
