gsr in del sol, axles aren't long enough

Default gsr in del sol, axles aren't long enough

hey i have a gsr in my del sol. the motor sits fine and everything but the axles are stretching(the boot distorts u could say). im using brand new 95 integra axles and intermediate shaft.

sounds like you dont have integra axles...

so i had rs axles and they weren't long enough, i exchanged them for gsr and now everythings fine

u would think. autozone has like a few different brand axles. all of them but 1 had identical part numbers as the gsr. well the one they gave me was that 1 that was different. the gsr axles i got fit just fine

the part numbers are diff because of abs otherwise there the same length

well they didn't work so there was something going on, and no its not my car or the installation

did you try to "burp" the boot? sometimes new CV axles are like that. Just wedge a screw driver under one end of each boot and it should allow an air pocket to escape and the axle should be long enough then.

or they gave you the wrong axles. but try to burp them first.

The only difference between the RS and GSR axles is that the GSR has a collar around the outside that works in conjunction with a sensor on the knuckle for the ABS system.
