Default 08 Rear Si Seats Into EM1! (*WITH PICS*)

First off let me say, i've seen pictures of it before but never actually saw anyone do it or post anything about it. Involves some mechanical ability to make them flush and all nice nice but in the end its def worth it. The mounting brackets all do not line up so new ones will have to be installed and the *** cushion is VERY TIGHT but willl work. All brackets are custom so i cant say its an easy swap if you want it done RIGHT. I will post pics of any corners if someone wants....These pics are the final bolt up location, so some lines are better then posted in the pics. Comments are welcomed!

Mike

Did you have to do any fabrication?

yeah man, far from "plug and play". Involved a little fab work such as custom seat brackets and a little TLC to make it look like it belongs and fresh. Little cutting and a tad little welding.....all and all its def worth the results i think. My goal was to get my rear EM1 seats wrapped but the price was craaaazy, so i went this route

Please quote where he said anything was fabbed. It says nothing lined up and you needed some mechanical ability. It says new mounting brackets had to be installed but no where does it say anything was fabbed. That's it.

I'm not assuming ****. Especially with no in progress pics.

when he said he needed new mounts normally that means something needed to be fabed.

oh read what the op put he said things needed to be fabed, cut and welded.

when there is a will there is a way....all depends on how bad you want something to work. You can always half *** it and just plug them in, but everytime you go over a bump or someone seats down on them you'll have to reposition them. Im sure someone will disagree with my way of making them work, but i was going for the functionality of the seats

i have the same exact problem with my ****, how exactly did you custom fab the brackets and make them line up with the top part where it clicks in and releases to fold down and the part where it mounts to swing forward and back.

You're not original. So many people know about this, I have them in my car right now, they're just not attached. You wouldn't be able to tell if you looked at them. Just let us know how you did it, don't make a thread about it and refuse to give a step by step. You shouldn't have made the thread in the first place if you were going to be like this.

Please tell me how you removed the top brackets and put them in the right spots to clock right in! Did you have to do any mods to the bottom part where it attaches to the swinging bracket?

Fab up up some brackets and sell them as a kit.
