Default Better than ARC and $400 cheaper :P

I was bored and had a mini keg laying around. So I made it into a massive catch can for my Type R that's in my EK. The unique thing is that there is a funnel intake filter inside of it. The sponge filter is for the air going into the can and the funnel intake head to take in the clean air. And I will only use the sponge for rainy days. Took me three hours and $5 of materiel. I am not done customizing the look of it yet. Hope you guys like it and feel free to save $400 of your own.

Here is what it looked like before:

Weak *** piping

And here is what it looks like as of now

BAM! Premium quality

The intake inside of the can:

This baby roars like elephants going at it.

Update:

For the last couple of days I made a quick mudguard because it has been raining non-stop for four days. Used some Leinenkugel cardboard. MMM good beer.

Notice some mud on the intake piping from the week.

Friday night i made something out of a rubber floor mat for more protection

And a nice shot under my hood. I cleaned it last week and this is how it looks after a week of daily driving.
I hear water splashing my hood and I get worried.

Here is another project I made out of a mini keg a few months back:

I don't like the fact that an alcohol container has some thing to do with driving but overall the concept is nice. I wouldn't condone drinking and driving, and I try to get to lots of shows, some teen may get stupid ideas or something.

I have two of these sitting in my room (Coors and Heineken). I'm thinking of turning them into banks though.

x3. That's not a catch can. It's more like an aluminum intake pipe cover or intake pipe resonator...or something. I'm sure you could make a catch can out of it, if you actually wanted a catch can that big.

The sponge intake filters the air coming into the catch can so the funnel intake inside can in-take the clean filtered air. I plan to only use it when it's raining.

Is that an eBay no-name filter?

If so, you need to trash it ASAP and buy a filter that will not allow particles in your motor.
