Default EF Si injector info

I've got an ef hatch with a zc single cam swap, and its been converted to obd1 with a chipped p28. I put LS injectors in it so my buddy whose got a chrome program could beef it up even more, I'm wrappin to 8 grand. The only prob is its gettin ajor shitty gas mileage. So I'm thinkin bout puttin the original injectors back in and tell him to make it as nasty as possible and still get good gas mileage.
The questions- my single cam injectors, the plastic piece that surrounds the sprayer is broken on each one, will they still work? And my other question is, should I still be able to wrap 8 with the factory zc 1.6 injectors. Thanks a bunch for anyone that can help me on this.

i sure hope you're not "wrappin" to 8,000 rpm on a stock block.. if that's the case then i wont be suprised when i see a new thread from you soon titled "rod through my block, what happened!?!"

that aside, why did you install ls injectors anyway? zc injectors and ls injectors are both 240cc. the reason why it may be running different could be due to the ls injectors not being the obd# you thought they were. if they were obd1 and you had the resistor box hooked up lets say, this would create a problem.

and maybe a "beefy" tune isnt exactly what you should be running. throw a stock ecu on and see what kind of mileage you get.

im not saying just to throw your chipped ecu out.. just see if a non chipped ecu can provide the power and the mpg youre looking for.

And yes, I am wrappin to 8 grand on a stock block. Have had the engine for two years and have turned 7000+ at least once a day, no probs. But as far as why the ls injectors, my friend that tunes my ****, couldn't get it to wrap past 7500 because the pulse width on the factory injectors was too much for em to handle so that's why I went with the bigger injectors. The only prob that I'm having is not good gas mileage. My whip is nasty as ****, dnt get me wrong, ran a 9.42 in an 8th, but I can take a 30 min drive on full, and its almost drank a quarter of a tank.

im pretty sure if you dont have anything done to your head your just wastin time being in that rpm range...and 9.42 in the 8th isnt nasty im sorry but my saturn runs a 10.0 in the 8th and its got so much wrong with it that its not even funny. and i would put your stock ones back on that are prolly obd0 unless there trashed...and i would put your stock basemap back on as well you might get your time down to 9.32 wich is real nasty. ok no its not at all..lol

there's Hondas here that would simply laugh at 15 seconds as a funny joke involving racing a minivan, your times arent ish comparatively to a boosted b16 running 12s, and hell even faster seeing some of theses cars on here, you gotta chill dude no one is gonna help you as long as your running your mouth to people, if your getting poor gas mileage obviously your car is running wayyy too rich on the tune you got and "wrappin" till 8 grand is dumb as the power band on the zc starts dropping off way before 8 grand, chill and listen dude there is people here way more knowledgable than you that are trying to give you advice, just cause it hasnt blown up dont mean it wont soon.

I understand that there are way faster cars on here than what I've got, I've got kids to take care of so I dnt have endless money to just dump in my hatch. But I think 15s is pretty quick for a stock motor, especially a single cam. But I appreciate the help man, I'm not trÝin to run my mouth, it just makes me ill when someone just start talkin sh*t rite off the rip, ya kno?

I would try what dude said and use a stock ecu, and see how that changes, also i bet if u smell your exhaust with your current tune ( of course dont get a huge inhale of exhaust fumes haha) you should be able to smell a strong fuel odor indicating the car maybe running too rich, also performance is always a compromise to fuel economy. In a perfect world we could have both is there any other symptoms other than the bad fuel economy? It really sounds like its getting too much fuel.

zc injectors and ls integra injectors both run 240 cc THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME! if your getting shitty mileage. you probably put obd1 ls injectors and kept your resistor box which will make your car run like ****. keep the stock zc injectors in the motor. there is no difference between the 2
