On the side of the road with my iPhone! Help. Car won't start
Ok so I'm on my way home. A pleasant 3 hour drive halfway through it and I hit a large unavoidable bump. My car shuts off and everything twaks out. Gauge cluster gets power and signal on and off, clock is flickering, motor won't push start or crank start.
Here's the freaky part. I put the key in and go one click forward, radio comes on fine. One more click forward, empty. No main relay kicking, no power to gauge cluster and no power to fuel pump or anything besides radio. Crank click forward and main relay kicks and motor starts but dies as soon as I let go of the key.
93 civic hatchback with an ls swap. Perfectly running and healthy.
I've checked grounds and fuses. Grounds are secure, both of them, and fuses are fine. I've checked all connections for sensors on the motor, secure.
Can somebody please help me get home?

Sounds like your battery is toast. If your battery is fine, then it's probably your knock sensor plug.
Guess they don't make an app for that.

I'm pretty sure it's not my battery asni get power. And everything cranksni just can't keep the motor running ecause there is an electrical issue somewhere. I need ideas on possible electrical issue that wouldcause an issue like this.
Try turning the key to start position, and when the engine begins to start, let the key come back to the "running/on" position while still holding the key. Does the engine continue to run?
If so, then the ignition switch has bad contact points. There is a DIY home repair, or you can get a new one for replacement. You will have to check in this forum for repair or replacement steps.
Check with the above tests first.

Thanks a lot for your help guys. I have a bad ignition switch. I got it towed home last night. A pleasant 100 mile tow.
